SAAS-E[quality] #Solveathon Insights Report
Close to 100 SaaS sector leaders, including business, technical, and diversity and inclusion leaders, gathered at the SAAS-E[quality] Unconference in December 2018 in Toronto. The event, which was designed and delivered by equality strategy firm Women’s Work Institute, was a provocative, solution-focused, working session intended to build greater equality in the SaaS ecosystem.
SAAS-E included a session called a Wave (then called a #solveathon). A Wave is a unique strategic design methodology created by Tidal Equality to support stakeholders in identifying the nexus between business challenges and equality challenges. Ultimately, a Wave enables stakeholders to design actionable solutions to their highest priority equality challenge in alignment with business goals and constraints. The SAAS-E Wave included a pre-Wave Insights Questionnaire (completed by SAAS-E attendees and members of the broader SaaS ecosystem), pre-event analysis, and the Wave session itself, which is designed based on questionnaire results.
