Suhlle Ahn
Suhlle has 20+ years of professional experience working in fields as varied as classical music, high tech, and fashion.
Originally trained in English literature, she worked briefly in arts administration before becoming a technical writer and illustrator in the data networking industry during the dot-com boom. She later pivoted to fashion, working in product development and operations for over a decade at Gap, Victoria’s Secret PINK, and Coach.
As someone whose interests have straddled both the arts/humanities and social science-oriented fields, Suhlle was motivated by her growing concern about the state of our physical planet and social world—especially an alarm over the rise of far-right politics after 2016—to make another pivot. Long attuned to the threat faced by marginalized groups during times of political instability, Suhlle hopes to commit the next phase of her working life to advancing social justice, supporting climate action, and protecting democracy.
At Tidal Equality, Suhlle combines her writing skills and concerns about inequality and social injustice to craft content, and to educate and inform Tidal Equality’s community of Equity Sequence® learners. She holds an A.M. (M.A.) in English literature from Harvard University and a B.A. in English literature from Yale University.
